Alfred Lewis Enoch, also credited every bit Alfie Enoch (born 2 December 1988) is a British-Brazilian histrion, best known for playing Dean Thomas in the Harry Potter film serial and Wes Gibbins on the ABC legal drama idiot box series How to Become Away with Murder.
Early life and instruction [edit]
Enoch was born in Westminster, London, England, to British actor William Russell and his second wife, Etheline Margareth Lewis,[ii] [3] a Brazilian-built-in md of Barbadian descent.[four] Enoch holds dual British and Brazilian citizenship.[five] He used to live in the south of French republic with his parents when he was 2 or 3. He attended Westminster School,[6] a historic public schoolhouse in Westminster, London. He was known for his role as Dean Thomas in Harry Potter.
Enoch is a fluent speaker of English language, French,[7] Portuguese,[viii] and Spanish, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages from The Queen'due south College, Oxford.
Career [edit]
In 2001, he was cast every bit Dean Thomas in Harry Potter and the Philosopher'south Stone. He appeared in seven of the eight Harry Potter films. He also voiced the grapheme in video games.
After the Harry Potter films, Enoch appeared in a number of plays throughout London including Coriolanus,[9] Timon of Athens,[x] Antigone, Happy New. He played Bainbridge, the Bloody Guardsman, in the Sherlock episode, "The Sign of Three".
In 2014, Enoch was cast in the series regular part of Wes Gibbins in the ABC legal drama series, How to Become Away with Murder produced by Shonda Rhimes.[xi] [12]
In 2016, Enoch was cast as Edgar/Poor Tom in the well received Talawa Theatre Company and Manchester Royal Commutation co-production of King Lear, for which he won much praise for his characterisation and the physicality he brought to the roles.[13] [14] [xv] [16]
Enoch returned to the West End in the 2018 revival of Red at Wyndham's Theatre, starring alongside Alfred Molina.[17] And likewise in 2018, he played Aeneas, in BBC I & Netflix TV miniseries 'Troy: Fall of a City'.
